IBDSS is an
indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
(ID/IQ) contract managed by the United
States Navy Electronic Systems
Center and Force Protection Office,
Hanscom Air Force Base, for the purchase
and installation of integrated security
systems equipment including legacy,
new, and technology insertion, at
government and DoD sites and facilities
worldwide..

Prime Supplier U.S.A.F.
The Tactical
Automated Sensor System (TASS) program
is a force protection effort to protect
our forces and their families during
military operations worldwide. TASS
encompasses, but is not limited to,
systems engineering and integration;
management services; specialty acquisition
support; integrated logistics support;
computer resources and software; and
acquisition security.
The scope of these contracts includes
but is not limited to the following
capabilities:
- Wide area
intrusion detection and tracking
- Long range
assessment
- Integrated
command and control of the IBDSS
- Wireless,
secure comunications
- Identification
friend or foe
- Entry Control for Vehicles and Personnel
- Rapid positive
base control access
- Passive
delay systems (e.g., bollards, barriers and lift gates)
- Remotely
operated weapons
- Integration
of "smart" sensors
- Perimeter Monitoring and Control
- Chemical,
biological, radiological, and nuclear
detection
- Non-lethal

- Land and Waterside Detection
FPS1 and TASS are
programs of the Electronic Systems
Center and Force Protection Office
at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, whereby
physical security equipment is appropriately
employed through an architecture including
command and control to enhance the
security and life safety of our troops
and their families within the US and
overseas.
