Continuous Wide Area Surveillance: OmniTrack™ Vigilant™ is an innovative new security tool that provides continuous visual surveillance for your perimeter. Using a single omni-directional camera (up to 360º), the system captures all activity across a broad area, enabling your security personnel to watch a single display to get a comprehensive overview of the scene (US Patent Nos. 5760826, 6118474, 6611282). While traditional cameras look in only one direction at a time, OmniTrack Vigilant looks in all directions at once, greatly improving your situational awareness.

Omni / PTZ Combination: Surveillance is further improved by teaming up the omni camera with the optical zoom of the slaved PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera (US Patent Nos. 6215519, 6226035). Together they are a powerful surveillance tool. Security guards can immediately position the PTZ camera on any potential threat by simply clicking on that area of the live omni video, resulting in more informed decision making and shorter response time.

Automation Software: Intelligent object tracking software can be used to continually analyze motion in the omni video, separating natural background motion (trees, wind, etc.) from potential threats. When a potential threat is detected guards are alerted, and the software can automatically pan the slaved PTZ camera to the threat area without human intervention.

Local and Remote Viewing: Live video from the system can be viewed locally or remotely using standard networks, even on wireless computing platforms.
