TASS®
TASS®: Tactical Automated Sensor System® Series 4000
The TASS® series is a U.S. Air Force system configuration providing undefeatable perimeter security using pulsed Infrared Perimeter Intrusion Detection (IPID®) technology to create secure zones with a range of up to 330 feet as tested while deployed at bases in Korea. TASS® uses solid state electronics that are not affected by environmental conditions such as birds, small animals, snow, puddles, leaves or grass. It works in rain, snow and fog, instantly identifying the intrusion zone via normally open or closed dry contacts that can be interfaced with any user’s data communication and annunciator. TASS® does not emit false alarms. The system will only alarm if an object breaks the 3.54” diameter beam more than 98.5%.
